My favorite XKCDs these days are the ones where Randall inadvertently reveals that he is the kind of person he likes to think he's taking down a peg. What's that? You mean you weren't able to solve the problem of information storage in "a long time [like, 3 minutes, at least]" thinking about it?
Randall is a firm adherent to the maxim that if you can't be the first person to notice something, you can at least make sure not to say anything original about it.
