Our sins must have been very great, or God would not have sent XKCD to punish us.

"Today's lucky ten thousand get to learn about D.B. Cooper AND the Spruce Goose. This is what makes it all worthwhile," Randall said out loud.

Is it really Randall's fault that he has failed to mature artistically, intellectually, or spiritually since the age of 15? He was frozen in time by material success and adulation, robbed of the drive to develop further, petrified, killed. Who among us, showered with money and fame for being a slightly precocious tenth grader, could have avoided his fate?

He was back on Reddit, with everything forgiven, his cakeday post showered in gold. He was in the Ars Technica comments, making puns about Mars rovers. He was walking down the white-tiled corridor, with the feeling of walking in sunlight, and a Nintendo Switch in his hand. The long hoped-for needle was entering his arm.

He gazed up at the enormous face. Sixteen years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden by the featureless oval. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the rational breast! Two Soylent-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved XKCD.

Wow, it's so simple, yet cryptic! Is it Morse code? Or the Fibonacci sequence? Maybe it's the Arecibo message! I'm sure it's something really deep and clever, I can't wait to hop over on the subreddit and see what everyone else thinks!
