The joke is supercilious and hypocritical-- "people who didn't work for NASA like me shouldn't be allowed to make jokes about killer robots"-- but what really burns me up is that Randall can't be bothered to draw individual panels in a stick figure comic:

I have to give Randy a *little* props for being able to indicate that the featureless stick man's head is turned backwards. That's slightly impressive.
