Black Hat Guy has declined to such an extent that he basically signifies a "/s", which is used by people on Reddit, Ars Technica comments sections, and other hives of unreconstructed bugmannery to indicate that they have absolutely zero faith in the ability of their interlocutors to grasp sarcasm.

Don't forget that awful post-punchline dialogue. Randall has yet to grasp that that doesn't improve the joke at all.
