First of all, It ain't an ancient Earth language - there's still an entire Aegean Sea worth of truly ugly peoples who read, write and speak the vulgar gibberish.
To be fair though, letters like Digamma "Ϝ" and Koppa "Ϙ" seem to have fallen by the wayside of late. As there is no "C" or "D" in the Greek script, "∑" was used for "C" and "Δ" used for "D"
